SMOB Girls Section Get Press Release On RFUW Website

St Mary's Girls section have had a press release added to the main RFUW website. Hopefully this will generate new interest from girls looking to play rugby at our club

Our girls have their first match against Taunton at home on Sunday 15th October, kick off is at 12.00pm. Lets see as many of you there as possible to support & cheer them on! We can all remember our very first rugby match, whatever age we were!

SMOB Ladies Run The Bristol Half Marathon!

Congratulations to Jen, Karen, Gabi, Dee, Debbie & Sarah who completed the Bristol Half Marathon last Sunday 17th Sept. Well done from all your SMOB team mates!

 

New Coach Joins SMOB Ladies

SMOB Ladies are very pleased to welcome a new coach to our team. Steve Davis has joined Theo Guy to train our team & help coach us through the coming season. Welcome to the team Steve from all the SMOB Ladies!

 

Under 17's & 14's girls training at St Marys

SMOB Ladies have started a youth section aimed at encouraging girls who are already playing rugby within the mini's & junior leagues, to continue their development at St Marys.This is also open to beginners as well as girls with any level of experience, with the hope that they can then progress on to field the Senior Ladies Section.

Training is run by one of our Senior Players, Helen Nicholson. She is a qualified level 1 rugby coach, level 1 & 2 foundation referee & Child Protection Officer.

Training is on Sunday mornings between 10.30 - 12.00pm, with matches being played from 12.00pm to mid afternoon.

An Old Face Returns:

It's great to welcome back Theo Guy as our Coach. Theo left briefly last season to start up a new business venture, which has been a great success. He has now returned to share his experience & knowledge with us, which is again going to benefit SMOB Ladies greatly!

Welcome back Theo from all of the team!

 

Latest Training News

We are training two evenings a week, Tuesday night is at our home ground, it starts at 7pm prompt, so please be in your kit & ready for action!! Thursday nights session is on Bristol Downs, meeting at the Watertower for 6.30pm. Don't forget to either wear boots, moulded's or astro's to training!

 

National 7's News

After a wicked, wet & very muddy 7's tournement, SMOB Ladies are recovering from their awesome display of how not to play 7's! We did managed to win a match & thankfully only lost 25-0 to Saracens 1st team! Result!!
